Thousands of Arabs, Kurds and Assyrians protested peacefully in Qamishly, Syria, on Good Friday, April 22, 2011. The majority of the demonstrators were from the youth. The protesters called for freedom, modification of the constitution, and ending the harassment of citizens by the government’s security services.
