Breaking News: Five Bombs and Two Explosive Belts Dismantled Near a Church in Mosul

(ADO-World.org – Iraq) On Thursday, January 6, 2011, the Iraqi National Security Forces, in cooperation with the Second Military Unit, was able to dismantle five explosive devices and two belts with explosives placed in front of the Mar Gewargis Ancient Assyrian Church of the East in the Al-Dawasa neighborhood of Mosul.  Sources confirmed that the security forces intervened after receiving a tip for explosives near the Church in Mosul.  The security forces were able to reach the location in time to dismantle the explosives, preventing injuries.

In recent months, Iraqi Christians throughout the country have endured several attacks by terrorist groups belonging to Al-Qaeda where many Christians have been killed and hundreds of thousands displaced.
