(ADO-Iraq) During the Iraqi Parliament’s session on Tuesday, November 23, 2010, Representative Khales Esho gave a statement about the situation of our Assyrian Chaldean Syriac people. In his statement, he demanded the creation of an Investigation Committee to investigate the crimes committed against our people. He also demanded the Parliamentary Council to give a two-month vacation for our people’s government employees as well as the students in the Nineveh Governorate until security and stability return to the Governorate, where they have been targeted. He also confirmed that it is time for our people to be granted their right for Autonomy in their historical areas and to stop the migration of our people. Rep. Khales Esho also thanked the residents of Al-Baker neighborhood in Mosul for standing up to stop a terrorist plot of attacking a Christian family in the area, and he appealed to all Iraqi people to stand together as one to face the terrorists that are targeting all Iraqis.
