Assyrian Representation in Mosul (05/05/2003)

A council of 30 people will run the affairs of Mosul Province.


The Mosul Province Council will consist of three parts:


1. The City of Mosul
It will consist of 13 members.
Arabs 7 / Kurds 3 / Assyrians 2 / Turkomen 1


2. The Surrounding Region of Mosul of 8 members.
Arabs 4 / Kurds 2 / Assyrian 1 / Turkomen 1


3. Hight Posts
The Assistance of the governor of Mosul will be Chaldean Assyrian.
Hence the Assyrians will have a total of 4 representatives from the total 30 members covering the three parts, i.e. 12%.
